Norwegian bed specialists, Jensen, have been producing mattresses for more than half a century in Scandinavia. Exclusive to John Lewis, the Jensen Nordica divan set features individually pocketed ‘hourglass’ springs. The heat treated ‘hourglass’ spring is softer at the ends but firmer as it is depressed, allowing the body to sink into the mattress whilst ensuring comfort and support. An additional coil of wire provides support for the spine, stops your pelvis from rotating and relieves pressure to your shoulders and hips. The mattress springs are encased in the finest Talalay latex which has excellent ventilation properties. This mattress is medium tension. The mattress topper is fully washable at 60º to kill dust mites and bacteria that irritate allergy sufferers, and is covered in a soft, stretchy, jersey fabric allowing the spring unit to work effectively. As an added benefit, the mattress doesn’t need to be turned.The design of the bed is reminiscent of a contemporary hotel. Bases are constructed from sturdy Scandinavian pine and upholstered in a choice of colours.
